Expert Interview: Safeguarding Brand Visual Identity in the Age of AI

In my research process, I conducted an expert interview with a professional who has hands-on experience using AI tools to generate brand visuals. My goal was to understand the real challenges brands face when integrating AI into their creative workflows, and how these challenges affect brand visual identity.

Key Findings

The expert’s insights highlight two major issues:

  • Colour accuracystylistic consistency and The accuracy of emotional expression are the greatest challenges when using AI in brand communications.
  • Without strong mechanisms to safeguard visual consistency, the efficiency advantages of AI may come at the cost of diluting brand identity.

These findings reinforced my initial concerns: when visual outputs are generated by AI, the stability of visual identity becomes fragile.


Reflection and Next Steps

This interview made me realize that in the AI-driven creative era, the real challenge for brands is not simply about boosting efficiency, but about protecting the uniqueness of their visual identity.
